Juanit is a passionate and seasoned practitioner who aims for high-quality and pain-free living for her patients. After graduating from McMaster University with an Honours Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and a Masters of Science in Physiotherapy, she went on to earn recognition from the Hamilton Reader’s Choice Awards as one of the city’s top physiotherapists.

After years of post-graduate study, Juanit attained her Diploma of Advanced Orthopaedic Manual and Manipulative Physiotherapy. She became especially interested in the pelvic floor after having two children herself, and decided to further her repertoire by taking specialized training in Pelvic Floor Physiotherapy. She is rostered through the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario to perform internal pelvic exams. Also certified in Acupuncture and Active Release Therapy of the spine, Juanit has honed her advanced assessment and treatment skills through the Diane Lee & LJ Lee Integrated Systems Model. In addition to her background treating special populations, which include athletes, children, individuals coping with vestibular disorders (vertigo, dizziness and concussions) and TMJ issues, she has extensive experience working with patients recovering from various surgeries (spine, knees, hips, rotator cuff).

Aside from enjoying an active lifestyle herself, Juanit keeps busy chasing after her two young children, mentoring students, and staying involved with community activities.
